Kinney Drugs Will Host Seasonal Flu & Pneumonia Clinics
Gouverneur, NY September 16, 2009 – Kinney Drugs announced today they will conduct seasonal flu & pneumonia clinics in cooperation with Maxim Healthcare Services. Most insurance cards are accepted and Medicare Part B Participants need to bring their Medicare card that indicates “Medical Insurance”. All individuals with Medicare Part B that are not a member of a Medicare replacement program will receive a flu shot with no co-pay. Medicare will also pay for them to receive a pneumonia shot with no co-pay if they either: A) have never received one before, or B) it has been at least 5 years since they last received a pneumonia vaccination, the first shot was administered prior to age 65, and the participant is now over age 65.
In addition, all Kinney pharmacists are prepared to counsel patients on seasonal flu precautions as well as the latest updates on the H1N1 virus (swine flu). Information can also be obtained through the web-site at www.kinneydrugs.com.
