May 29th, 1986

So today is my 22nd birthday. I know I’m too young to say this but it seems like just yesterday I turned 18, time does fly when you’re having fun. Wow! I think this year my birthday is kind of down played after turning 21 last year. My family combined my birthday and college graduation party into one. It was still a very nice to spend time with family and eat really good food! I do share the day with some famous people. On May 29th Melissa Etheridge, Bob Hope, and Charles II of England celebrate their birthday as well. My most memorable birthday was when I was 7, my mom and dad bought me a brand new 4-Wheeler and surprised me with it, I remember riding that thing for hours and hours! Happy Birthday to everyone who is celebrating today.

It’s a small world after all

It’s a small world after all. I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with the cutest donkeys, miniature donkeys at the Amore Donkey Farm in Cazenovia. If you have the space, they are definately a must for companionship and fun, especially for the kids.(why you can even put them in your backseat, imagine a donkey’s head hanging out of the car window, hehaw, hehaw!) . You can see this segment on a future”Bridge Street”.

ahh summer…is that frost??

Well, Memorial Day is a memory, with that said, we lucked out in the weather department…thank you Mike Ellis!! But, what’s up now? Today started great…sunny, warm, short sleeve weather…by 1 oclock this afternoon, I froze while walking over to the Mony Towers area to get a “street dog” for lunch…(hot dogs, a weakness of mine…one of many.) I hope you were able to enjoy some R&R this past weekend…seriously…no running around from place to place…just vegging. My family and I seemed to be trying to jam a whole summer’s worth of activities into three days due to the fact that my wife is leaving for Iraq this weekend(not exactly a Disney vacation huh?)

Oh, a reminder, that if you still have a Sunny 102 Val-pak coupon sitting on your kitchen counter…fill it out and send it to us…we have another drawing for gas money, grocery money…whatever…this Thursday morning after 7 with Big Mike. Good luck.

Memorial Day

Yes, it’s a beautiful weekend and hopefully a fun one, but we must salute the veterans and especially remember those who lost their lives defending our great nation.  To all the men and women in uniform, a big hug and neverending appreciation.

longest blog

Looks like his Bigness is going for the longest blog record. Mine will be just a wisp compared to his, but we must remember, after all, he is Big Blogging Mike!

Just three more days until Blues,Brews and Barbeque, Mike has graciously agreed to help me sell raffle tickets for the  motorcycle we are giving away to benefit the Golisano Children’s Hospital. Hope you stop, buy and say hi, this Sunday at the Fairgrounds. I will have another pair of tickets to the event tomorrow at 3:35 on Sunny!

Carrie and I were lookin’ good in the 80’s and now the 80’s look is  back! We’ll show you how to wear it!! And, The Temptations are coming and we’ve have tickets along with dinner for 2. Plus, there is a shearing festival this weekend and it’s my chance to show some fleece!!

idol and other things…

Wow!!! Way to go David Cook. He seems like a very genuine, humble and all around likable guy. It was a very entertaining show last night. I loved the Gladys Knight bit with Jack Black, Robert Downey and Ben Stiller playing the Pips…very funny! I guess, if you download the video of that performance on itunes, the proceeds go to charity per the guy’s request.

Well, the first holiday weekend is upon us…the un-official start to the summer of 2008. It’s kind of bittersweet for me this year due to the fact that it is the last weekend that we will be together as a family ’til August, as my wife is about to deploy to Iraq. Keep her and all the members of the 174th Fighter Wing in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks.
